Cody Weaver: A Committed Leader for Plano’s Future
Since moving to Plano, Cody Weaver has embraced everything that makes this community truly exceptional. He was first elected to the Plano ISD Board of Trustees, Place 7, in May 2019 and has since been dedicated to making a positive impact on the education and well-being of Plano’s students.
Cody's commitment to excellence was recognized early in his academic career when he received the 2009 North East ISD Humanities and Social Sciences Award for academic achievement, leadership, and community service. He later graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Leadership Education and Development, along with a Minor in Business Administration.
A licensed residential real estate associate broker in Collin County, Cody has been active in the real estate industry since 2010. He is also deeply involved in the community, serving as an active member of Congregation Shearith Israel and the Dallas Area Torah Association in Plano. Cody has contributed his expertise to several real estate boards, including the Texas Association of Realtors’ Professional Standards Committee.
Cody is a graduate of the Dallas FBI Citizens Academy and Leadership Plano, Class 38. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service through his previous roles as the Vice President of The Emilio and Giovanna Piccinini Better Future Foundation and founder of the Collin County Juvenile Detention Center Fund at the Communities Foundation of Texas.
Since moving to Plano in 2017, Cody and his wife, Marny—a proud graduate of Plano Senior High—have raised their two sons in this vibrant city. The family also includes their beloved giant schnauzer doodle, Atlas. 🐾
